The crime as an everlasting and unavoidable social situation is of a special interest to the society as well as to the science. Each society has its own ways, methods and means of dealing with this extremely dangerous situation. However, in addition to the “everlasting crime” more or less known for its etymology and phenomenology, the last decades of the previous century and the beginning of the new millennium impose new types of crime exceeding the national borders. This sets the alarm to all national anti-criminal mechanism that they themselves cannot take on new challenges and an international strategy, organization and legislation is necessary in order to prevent or at least moderate this new type of a social evil. Unfortunately, this type of crime did not pass by customs putting customs in general and its executors - customs workers in a position to pay close attention to this phenomenon rather than to the existent “normal” activities. The existent customs activities regarding goods and preventing smuggling of goods are becoming everyday activities compared to the new role regarding the reaction to the crime exceeding the national borders separated with customs lines and it represents a transnational activity of multinational criminal organizations.
