This paper deals with the web interface Maple T.A. which is used for mathematics education at the Vienna University of Technology. Maple T.A. is based on the computer algebra system Maple. This fact offers the possibility to test and assess the students in easy but also complex mathematical matters in an uncomplicated way. This interface was first used only for the refresher course. This course takes place in the first 3 weeks of the semester and deals with the repetition of all the important subject of matters of the school mathematics. The refresher course should help the students to get a good start in their studies regarding their mathematical basis. The refresher course is offered to seven different fields of studies. Maple T.A. is also used for the basic and advanced mathematical courses in the first two years in the study of electrical engineering. For these courses the use of Maple T.A. includes the offer of assignments for every chapter of the lecture but homework and tests are realized in it. A big advantage of Maple T.A. is that the system provides a connection to Moodle systems. The Vienna University of Technology coordinates most of the lectures and practises via an application of Moodle. All the administration of the lecture notes, additional materials and homework take place in Moodle. Therefore the decision to use this connection was made. Before this connection was set the students have to cope with three different logins for different websites of the university. After setting the students only need one. Nowadays the students login the Moodle system of the university and get the lecture notes. For every week they find the homework and the according Maple T.A. assignments one below the other. But still there are possibilities and new techniques to improve the courses and the usage of Maple T.A.
